WELCOME TO THE SECRET CINEMA
"Built in 1969 to support the local dissemination of censored and forbidden artworks, VIC’s underground auditorium has seen a lot. Once a clandestine cinema and cultural headquarters for the opposition to the dictatorship, our secret cinema has recently recovered its original role as a safe harbour for mystics, artists and outsiders, by continuously hosting exploratory music, independent cinema, poetry readings and new media shows.
We’ve decided to honour this historic venue with a record: “Transmissions from the Secret Cinema, Vol.1” will be out on May 14th in both digital and vinyl. This compilation gathers artists who performed live at our underground auditorium over the past few years"
